Still Called After Abortion

You know what’s crazy? God still calls you, even after abortion. You’ve tried to ignore the stirring to help others, the desire to teach, the quiet thought that maybe you could be a voice for healing. But every time you think about stepping out, your mind goes back to the past: the abortion, the guilt, the label you fear others would give you.

So, you stay quiet. You keep your faith private. You convince yourself you’re being humble when really, you’re being haunted.

But friend, calling doesn’t get revoked because of failure. Romans 11:29 says, “The gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” That means your sin didn’t cancel your purpose it clarified your need for grace.

The enemy wants you convinced that people would never accept you if they knew. But what if that fear is actually blocking someone else’s healing? What if your story is the key that unlocks another man’s freedom?

Look at Moses. He killed a man and hid it. He ran from Egypt thinking God could never use him again. But decades later, God showed up in a burning bush and said, “I’m sending you.” Moses argued, doubted, and listed his disqualifications, but God never changed His mind.

God doesn’t waste repentance. He redeems it. Your abortion story doesn’t make you unusable it makes you relatable.

There are men right now wondering if God could ever forgive them. When you step up to serve, you become living proof that He does.

1 John 1:7 says, “If we walk in the light, as He is in the light… the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.” Walking in the light means no longer hiding. It means trusting that what Jesus did on the cross is bigger than what you did in the past.

If God’s been tugging on your heart to get back in the game, do it. Join that men’s group. Offer to serve. Tell your pastor you’re ready. Share your testimony when He prompts you. Don’t wait to be perfect. Just be willing.

Because the truth is, you’re not defined by what you did you’re defined by Who called you. And the One who called you hasn’t changed His mind.
